About York Region Educational Services and this Opportunity:
York Region Educational Services (YRES) is a not-for-profit organization that provides individuals in the vicinity of York Region with free or affordable educational resources in a safe and supportive environment that inspires, motivates, and helps set the foundation for personal growth. We are thrilled to host an information session booth at Richmond Hill Public Library and we are seeking volunteers that are interested in supporting this event.
Key responsibilities are as follows:
- Assist with setting up equipment and technology as directed by the event supervisor
- Greet families with hospitality and enthusiasm
- Answer any inquiries related to YRES and offered programs
- Communicate with parents and other staff members
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the site
Time commitment:
- Info session launches on days May 1`8th, May 19th, June 1st, June 15th, and June 22nd from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm
- Your commitment must be by the day
Session location: Richmond Hill Public Library (1 Atkinson Street, Richmond Hill, Ontario L4C 0H5)
A great candidate for this position will possess the following:
- Must be 14+ years of age
- At least 3 months of experience working with children, preferred
- Communication and leadership skills
- Self-management skills and the ability to demonstrate responsible, ethical, and professional conduct – YOU are the role model
- Enthusiasm and passion towards working with children
- Collaboration skills
