FORS Professional LoCITY Driver CPC

LoCITY Driving is a classroom-based course that focuses on minimising the environmental impact of vans and HGVs by reducing emissions through the use of pre-journey planning and vehicle checks, fuel-efficient driving, and alternative fuels. The seven-hour CPC-accredited course which is aimed at drivers gives attendees the knowledge and skills needed to cut costs and minimise the environmental impact of fleet operations.

The course was also the recipient of the prestigious Education in Transport award at the 2017 National Courier Awards for “demonstrating a commitment to education for the advancement of those working in the express industry”. The course covers the following topics:

• The relationship between driving style, fuel consumption and environmental impact

• How regular maintenance and vehicle checks can cut costs and emissions

• Fuel efficient driving techniques

• Use of in-vehicle technology to improve fuel economy

• Benefits of journey planning

• Alternative fuels in commercial vehicles

The LoCITY Driving course is 7 hours of learning and can facilitate up to 20 people per course.

(Registration is at 06:30-07:00) It is your responsibility to ensure you plan your journey in advance. If you do not attend there will be no refund of your course fee. If you turn up after the course has started you will be refused entry and any rebooking will be subject to a full rebooking fee.

IMPORTANT: Any driver attending the course must have their identity checked by either a photo card driving licence, Operator card or a Driver Qualification Card (DQC). This will allow Pheonix International Ltd to register the driver onto the Transport for London master database, confirming the driver has attended the course.

All bookings are subject to our Cancellation Policy and by registering for a course you are agreeing to give 14 days-notice for cancellation of a booked course.

COSTS: This training fee is £63 (Inc VAT) per delegate. Drivers wishing to have their details uploaded to the DVSA website so its counts towards their 35 hours Driver CPC will be required to pay £9.95 cash on the day. (£8.75 for DVSA charge plus £1.20 admin fee (£1 for admin & 20p for the VAT, Certificates will be emailed as requested).
