8-Week Mindfulness Training (MBCT)

Come join us for an in-person 8-week Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) training at 3425 Harvester Rd! This evidence-based program is designed to help you cultivate mindfulness and develop skills to manage stress, anxiety, and the ups and downs of mood. Through guided meditation, group discussions, and experiential exercises, you will learn practical tools to enhance your well-being, become more present in your life, and learn how to respond rather than react.

You will also learn:

· How to ‘let go’ of worries about the past or the future

· How to ‘slow down’ and step out of autopilot in this busy, distracted world in which we live

· How to cultivate ease and stability in body and mind (self-regulation)

· How to more skillfully deal with negative/unpleasant thoughts and emotions

· How to practice self-acceptance and self-compassion

· How to practice meditations wherever you go during your day

Grounded in the latest neuroscience, this program helps you rewire unhelpful mental habits and strengthen the brain’s capacity for calm, clarity, and emotional balance. Whether you're new to mindfulness or looking to deepen your practice, this training is suitable for all levels. Don't miss out on this opportunity to invest in your mental health and overall happiness! All participants need to have an assessment prior to acceptance into the group, as there are some exclusionary criteria.

Registration cost is $600 (may be reimbursed under Extended Health Care Benefits):

· 8 weekly sessions (3 hours/session), location TBD

· A handbook with weekly session summaries and home practice guidelines; Link to guided mindfulness meditations for home practice; M4H Certificate of Completion
