Shop Safety & Woodworking 101

Learn the basics to get you started on your woodworking projects, including how to safely use all of the large main power tools. This class takes you through the woodshop and lets you put your hands on every tool that you could need to use while woodworking and you will leave with a woodworking project. We will cover the Tablesaw, Bandsaw, Jointer, Router, Sander, Planer, and Dust Collection. If you have been looking for a BEGINNING WOODWORKING BOOT CAMP class, look no further... this is the class for you! This is a hands on class so be ready to have some fun. Completion of this course will prepare you to move on to more advanced projects. This is a comprehensive 5 hour class with a 30 minute lunch break. This is an extremely popular class, be sure to sign up early! All class participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions Apply. Students should come properly attired for a woodworking class (tight fitting clothing, long hair restrained and constrained from the face); and bring or wear provided industry standard hearing protection and safety glasses during equipment operation. All woodworking classes are held in a store that sells a wide variety of woods, including exotic woods such as cedar, aromatic cedar and other products (e.g., finishes, cleaners, etc.) that may cause allergic or other reactions in a small number of cases.
