About this event

Are you new to the metastatic breast cancer (MBC) community? Feeling overwhelmed by your new reality and the unknown that lies ahead?

We’ve created a space for you to be able to talk about how you’re feeling with a group of other people living with MBC. No need to hide or sugarcoat what you’re feeling – these people get it and are here for you.

During this one-hour session, mentors and facilitators who have had some more time with their MBC experience will lead a virtual community circle – an open discussion giving participants like you a gentle environment to ask questions and talk through some hard things.

Questions about things like:

  • Sharing the news with people in your life
  • Managing side effects
  • Staying informed without falling down a Google rabbit hole
  • Accessing support
  • Genetic testing
  • Staying present in the face of everything
  • Navigating your appointments
  • Palliative care
  • Accessing clinical trials

We hope you’ll join us! If you have any questions about what to expect please reach out to us at support@rethinkbreastcancer.com.

While our overall goal in providing these virtual Mentoring Matters peer support sessions is to ensure this program is accessible to anyone navigating breast cancer who needs support right now, this session is focused specifically on the MBC community. If you are newly diagnosed with stages 1-3 breast cancer, click here.

*Please note: Mentoring Matters sessions are led by community members trained in peer support, not a registered social worker or therapist. This is not a replacement or space for therapy or medical advice. Always consult your medical team when making decisions about your treatment.
