Join us for an unforgettable Musical Evening of Giving in support of the Whistler Waldorf School!
Waldorf education places a strong emphasis on the arts as an integral part of learning. What better way to celebrate and support WWS than with a recital? Join us as we come together to celebrate our community and the transformative power of the arts in education.
Highlights of the Evening:
· Wine and Canapé Reception at the luxurious Wedge Mountain Lodge & Spa
· Seated concert featuring the Sea to Sky Strings Orchestra under the direction of Yuko Iwanaga, alongside select performances from members of the Sea to Sky Youth Strings Orchestra.
· Solo performance by cellist Christopher Hwang, laureate of numerous music competitions, most recently, winner of the Canada Council for the Arts Instrument Bank Competition 2023 resulting in a loan of 1929 Carlo Guiseppe Oddone cello and finalist at the Eckhardt-Gramatte National Music Competition 2021.
· Concert selections include: Vocalize by S. Rachmaninov, Sinfonia in D minor 1st mvt by F. Mendelssohn, Mambo from West Side Story by L. Bernstein, and more.
· Raise the paddle and support the Whistler Waldorf School by helping fulfill teachers' wishes.
