The Afro-Canadian Caribbean Association (ACCA) hosted its Annual Seniors Health, Wellness & Empowerment Forum on Friday, June 14th at Bernie Morelli Community Centre. This event aimed to empower our seniors to improve the quality of their lives, holistically.
Keynote Speaker:
Dr. Paige Wyatt ND, a renowned naturopathic health expert, will share invaluable insights into natural approaches to health and wellness, empowering attendees with knowledge and strategies for holistic well-being.
Panelists:
The forum will feature a panel discussion with some of ACCA's seniors having the opportunity to share their lived experiences of health and wellness. These personal narratives will inspire and encourage fellow seniors on their wellness journeys.
Master of Ceremony & Entertainment:
Moy Fung, the Master of Ceremony, will guide attendees through the day's event.
Entertainment by Luckystickz will be captivating the audience with his mesmerizing steelpan performance, adding a touch of cultural vibrancy to the proceedings.
Special Guest:
MP Matthew Green, the City of Hamilton's Mayor Andrea Horwath and other special guests will join us to show their support for the seniors' empowerment initiative.
Marketplace & Nutritious Lunch:
Attendees had the opportunity to explore a marketplace featuring various health and wellness vendors, offering resources and products to support seniors' well-being. A nutritious lunch nourishes our body and spirit as attendees will enjoy fellowship and camaraderie.
