About this event

The Alberta Obesity Society has established this one day conference to provide educations on identified learning gaps in weight management. Join our knowledgeble and experienced presenters to explore updated treatment strategies.

Formulate a rational for the role of pharmacotherapy in multi-modal weight management.

Compare and contrast the mechanisms of action, safety and efficacy profiles of currently available anti-obesity medications.

Become familiar with newer medications currently under investigation for the future management of obesity.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

All Physicians, Allied Healthcare Providers and medical learners.

Conference registrations must be purchased online.

Tickets will not be sold onsite.

Earlybird rates end April 5th and ticket sales close at 2259h MDT May 6, 2024

1. What does my registration to the Alberta Obesity Update Conference include?

Your registration includes all of the conference events on Saturday May 11th. Please note: There will be light refreshments when you arrive.

2. I have a dietary restrictions. Who do I tell?

You will be asked this question as part of this registration form and this information will be relayed to the venue.

3. What is the dress code for the conference?

To maintain your comfort, please dress in layered clothing as we may encounter fluctuating temperatures in such a large area. We do not mind at all if you need to change your position and stand or stretch at the back of the room. Tall tables will be provided for this.

4. Where can I access updated information about the conference? Is there a contact person?

All information related to the conference will be located on the Alberta Obesity Society website that will be updated regularly. If you require additional information, please email albertaobesityupdate@gmail.com. Email communications outlining the event logistics will follow closer to the date.

5. Will I get a certificate of attendance? Will this be an accredited event?

Certificates of attendance will be emailed to all attendees after the event. This is not an CME accredited event, however Family Physicians can earn certified credits by completing reflection on practice activities such as Linking Learning to Practice.

6. Is there a refund period if my plans have changed?

No refunds will be provided.

7. Is my ticket transferable?
