Prepare to immerse yourself into an exclusive selection of art primarily by prominent Ukrainian artists at Withrow Common Gallery in downtown Toronto. Introducing, AWAKENING a new art exhibit which showcases diverse pieces of original artwork sourced directly from the Ukraine, the US and Canada.
About the Exhibit
AWAKENING is a multimedia exhibition that reflects on identity, values, and resilience. It is a poignant exploration of the impact of war on the collective consciousness and self-identification of a nation. The selection of art delves into the introspective journey prompted by war, inviting viewers to contemplate who Ukrainians are as a people, what they stand for, and the truth that shapes their existence.
Participainting artists
Yuriy Viktyuk, Mykola Zhuravel, Daria Tishchenko, Maria Antoniv, Petro Lebedynets, Mykhailo Deyak, Oleksandr Gutyrya, Liubov Senchuk, Karina Voloshko, Yana Litus, Nataliya Shchelokova, Marta Kolotylo, SEED Collective. The exhibit will also feature the works of Petro Bevza, Oleksiy Lytvynenko, Oleg Yasenev, Kasiopeja Naumoska and Irit Epstein from a private collection of Darrell Brown and Mila Bezpala-Brown.
Fundraising
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of artworks will be donated to selected Ukrainian charities.
