Botanical Papermaking Workshop with Stephanie Singh

In-Person | Thursday, December 2nd, 6:30-9:30 pm

Fine Arts Studio

Cost: $65 per person

In this workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of making paper with botanicals to add texture with artist and craftsperson Stephanie Singh. In this three hour workshop, participants will view samples of Stephanie’s work with handmade paper (from decorative paper made with fruits and vegetables to 3D vessels), while learning paper-making techniques, embossing, and laminating. Seeds and petals will be provided for participants to explore the addition of embossed and laminated imagery to your handmade papers, as well the therapeutic potential of paper-making. Handmade paper created in the workshop can be used for future mixed media, print and sculptural projects, or even saved for planting in the garden, to allow new life to form through the papermaking process.

Stephanie Singh is a Toronto-based textile designer who focuses on sustainable practices of natural dyes and plant matter to curate surface designs. With an advanced diploma in Interior Decorating from Sheridan College, she relates her designs to be a part of interior residential and commercial spaces.
