Let's Talk about Mental Health

Mental Health is something that we all have! Let's explore the continuum of Mental Health and how to support one another in the workplace. In the dynamic landscape of the modern workplace, employers play a pivotal role in fostering a supportive environment for their employees' mental health and addressing substance abuse challenges.

This course aims to equip employers with the knowledge, understanding, and practical tools needed to proactively support employees facing mental health and substance abuse challenges, fostering a workplace that prioritizes well-being and productivity. This course employs a combination of self-reflection activities, interactive exercises, real-life scenarios and group discussions to ensure that participants can apply their knowledge effectively in real-world workplace scenarios.

This course facilitated by STRIDE is offered to you for free by Inclusivity Works, which is funded by the Opportunities Fund of Employment and Social Development Canada. This CANADIAN project was developed in collaboration with STRIDE, the Ontario Disability Employment Network, and NorQuest College – Autism CanTech.

Project Description

With the goal of reaching nearly 500 businesses and organizations, Inclusivity Works aims to assist employers in diversifying their workplaces and creating professional environments that are both inclusive and accessible to people with disabilities and other forms of diversity. This project is based in the province of Ontario (Canada).

Thanks in part to training sessions, workshops and the creation of a resource kit on accessibility and inclusion in the workplace, this project equips employability workers with more tools to provide their services to people with disabilities. Additionally, employers will benefit from awareness sessions available to all staff members, as well as dedicated support services for their human resources managers (including information on the legal provisions related to the rights of persons with disabilities) and guidance on the retention and professional development of this population.
