As of May 1, 2024, the health care infrastructure in Gaza has been severely compromised due to continuous conflict, leading to catastrophic damage to hospitals and medical facilities. According to the latest reports by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), there have been nearly 600 attacks on healthcare facilities since October 7, 2023, significantly impacting the region's capacity to provide medical care.
