About this event

Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Accessibility

Unlock the power of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) with our awareness session designed for employers and leaders seeking to create a workplace culture that values and celebrates differences. This course explores key concepts surrounding IDEA, emphasizing the significant impact of accessibility on creating opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

This session combines self-reflection, interactive exercises, and group discussions to ensure that participants leave with actionable insights for implementing IDEA principles in their organizations. By the end of the session, participants will be better equipped to foster a workplace that not only embraces diversity but actively promotes equity, inclusion, and accessibility for all.

This free awareness session is offered to you by Inclusivity Works, which is funded by the Opportunities Fund of Employment and Social Development Canada. For more information on our initiative, available courses and/or requirements for participation, please contact our team at inclusivite.fonctionne@collegeboreal.com

We hope to see you at our next session!

This CANADIAN project was developed in collaboration with STRIDE, the Ontario Disability Employment Network, and NorQuest College – Autism CanTech.

Project Description

With the goal of reaching nearly 500 businesses and organizations, Inclusivity Works aims to assist employers in diversifying their workplaces and creating professional environments that are both inclusive and accessible to people with disabilities and other forms of diversity. This project is based in the province of Ontario (Canada).

Thanks in part to training sessions, workshops and the creation of a resource kit on accessibility and inclusion in the workplace, this project equips employability workers with more tools to provide their services to people with disabilities. Additionally, employers will benefit from awareness sessions available to all staff members, as well as dedicated support services for their human resources managers (including information on the legal provisions related to the rights of persons with disabilities) and guidance on the retention and professional development of this population.
