About this event

This event will be hosted by Wanuskewin's artist in residence Kevin Peeace. It will take place in the Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student Centre from 4:00-7:00 pm. Refreshments will be provided. Everyone is welcome!

Kevin Peeace is a contemporary Indigenous Saskatchewan artist who creates works that depict traditional floral motifs in vibrant colours. He describes this workshop as one that "was created during the pandemic. Its main purpose is to allow students from all grade levels from elementary, highschool, organizations, and groups to participate in learning from a first nations perspective the introduction to painting in my style of work. The workshop combines traditional elements of cultural teachings in first nations understandings applied with contemporary fine arts practices".

This event has limited space and is focused on STUDENT REGISTRATION only.

This is presented by Building Bridges, a program coordinated by the Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student Centre and the International Student and Study Abroad Centre (ISSAC).
