About this event

Join City of Vaughan staff at the community birding walk on Saturday, May 11 at the Maple Nature Reserve located at 10401 Dufferin St. This event is for all ages and birding abilities. Participate in a Big Sit where we will learn about bird identification and count the number of species we see and hear, before going out on a trail walk. The event will run from 10 a.m. to noon.

World Migratory Bird Day is celebrated on the second Saturday in May, this year on Saturday, May 11 as migratory birds journey to nesting sites. By studying and protecting birds, we can understand the overall health of our ecosystems and the environment.
