BEFORE REGISTERING, PLEASE READ:


1) All prospective competitors must register for CJLE before 11:59 PM ET, April 30th.


2) When registering for CJLE, please sign up with both your parent's email and the competitor's email (Please use the student's personal email and not a school email).


3) Both payment and registration are completely individual. If you are signing up for a team event, communicate accordingly with your partners to ensure that you are all registering on time and on your own. If you are registering for a team event, please specify the names of your partners during registration.


4) Although we try our best to provide all competitors with their first choice in events, please acknowledge that we cannot guarantee that you will be provided with your first choice. Event allocation is a first-come-first-serve process, so to ensure that you are given your preferred event, register as soon as possible.


5) The final deadline for any event changes is May 7th, 2024. After that date, no changes to your event can be made and refunds will no longer be provided.


6) All registrants must be in grade 6, 7, or 8 and reside in Canada.

Introduction:

The Canadian Junior Leadership Experience (CJLE) is an annual virtual event hosted by Canada FBLA, bringing together 200+ pre-secondary students from across the country to compete in 5 different competitive events and participate in a wide range of workshops, seminars, and non-competitive events. Students are provided ample opportunity to learn about the world of business and develop essential skills to become a future business leader.


The top three competitors in each event are eligible for cash prizes of $100, $50, and $25 respectively along with the top 20 competitors of each event being provided certificates of achievement.


Conference Details:

CJLE will be hosted completely virtually this year across the month of May. It is expected that to attend the experience, students must have access to a stable internet, a webcam, a microphone, and the video conferencing software Zoom. Further information on competitor requirements can be found in our Information Package.

The final round of case studies, the award ceremony, and all non-competitive events will be hosted during the Canadian Junior Leadership Conference (CJLC) on June 2. Please note that CJLC is a part of CJLE and is included in both registration and payment.


Pricing and Financial Aid:

This year, the registration fee for CJLE is $25 CAD. This pricing goes towards alleviating the costs of hosting the conference, along with prizes and incentives for high-achieving competitors. If you require financial aid, please email our Finance Officer Sheng Chang Li at chang.li@fbla.ca.

Frequently asked questions

When is the deadline for CJLE registration?

Registration for CJLE is due April 30th, 2024 at 11:59PM ET.

Do I need to register with my teammate(s)?

You will be registering and paying separately with your teammate(s). Please coordinate your answers ahead of time, as differences between certain answers may prevent you from competing together.

What is the refund policy for CJLE registration?

Refunds for CJLE registration will be open until May 7th, 2023. After that time, NO REFUNDS will be given under any circumstance.

What equipment is required to compete at CJLE?

It is expected that all competitors have access to stable Wi-Fi, an electronic device, a webcam, and a microphone.

Is there financial aid available for CJLE?

Yes, financial aid is available for all competitors who demonstrate financial need. To apply for financial aid, please email our Finance Officer Sheng Chang Li, at chang.li@fbla.ca
