About this event

  • 3 hours

What do you get when you pair up Blues guitar wizard with a folk rocker? Magic, that's what.

Joe Coffin, a nationally acclaimed multi-instrumentalist hailing from St. Johns, Newfoundland, gained recognition as one half of the renowned blues duo Earle and Coffin. With two albums and two EPs under their belt, their projects earned them prestigious accolades, including Canadian Folk Music Awards in 2016 and 2018, along with MusicNL awards (2017 & 2018 Jazz/Blues Artist of the Year) and nominations for ECMA and Maple Blues Awards.

Touring extensively throughout Canada and the US, Joe has played at Mariposa Folk Festival, Harvest Folk Festival, and Philadelphia Folk Festival and shared stages with Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, Matt Andersen, and Garrett Mason.

Currently based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Joe is now focusing on his solo career, releasing his first single "Idle Above" in 2023. His signature sound seamlessly merges blues, folk, and alternative vibes, inviting listeners to close their eyes and immerse themselves in the captivating groove.

Andrew Rodgers is a singer-songwriter based in St. John’s, Newfoundland. He is also a member of the band, Fairgale, who has shared the stage with the Arkells, Lights, Melissa Etheridge, Blue Rodeo, Trooper, and Sloan. In 2023, Fairgale took home MusicNL’s Rock Artist of the Year and the group’s latest album, “The Way It Was Before”, is nominated for the 2024 ECMA Rock Recording of the Year .

Andrew has released two singles, “Last Man Standing” and “Downtown” from his debut album, which is expected to drop this summer.

NOTE: As the name suggests, Patchwork is a house concert series, i.e. we present concerts in our living room. For all shows, the artist(s) take the door. We provide the stage, chairs and hopefully a room filled with eager listeners. Snacks and soft drinks will be offered; otherwise it is BYOB. Bringing music-loving-friends and visiting family members is strongly encouraged.
