Join the City of Brampton and the TRCA for an exciting community planting event, contributing to the Etobicoke Creek Wetlands Enhancement Project! 🌳 Be a part of planting over 200 trees and shrubs encircling one of our vibrant wetlands at Conservation Dr. Park! Discover more about the wetlands enhancement efforts happening at Loafers Lake and Park, as well as Conservation Dr. Park.
It's not just about planting trees; it's about revitalizing Brampton's natural spaces while earning volunteer hours! 🌿
This event is made possible through the Ontario Wetlands Conservation Partnership Program.
📅 Event Details:
- Saturday, June 1st, 10 am - 12 pm
- Please meet off of Conservation Dr. and Colonel Bertram Road: https://maps.app.goo.gl/gv9TYxZWeE4enwGo9
- Please dress for the weather, wear long pants, socks, and closed-toed shoes and bring your sunscreen.
- Please bring your own work gloves. We have extra supplies.
- There will be a maximum of 100 participants at the event.
🍔 BBQ Lunch:
A BBQ lunch of hotdogs and hamburgers will be served with vegetarian options. Water refill will be available.
🚗 Getting to the Park & Parking:
Please park at the Conservation Dr. Park parking lot or consider using active transportation or transit.
