As someone born and raised in Nova Scotia on seafood and East Coast music, now living in Edmonton, I go to great lengths to stay in touch with my roots. I typically travel once or twice a year back to Nova Scotia, where I can savour such delicacies as a real Halifax donair, lobster rolls, and moon mist ice cream. At this event, we will bring the East Coast to you. The food. The music. The love. All of it. For you. One night only.
Featuring the musical skill and soaring voices of talented Royal LePagers the country over. I have searched high-and-low, far-and-wide, to find the best performers for this one night affair. I have also curated a killer playlist that will both entertain and inform. If you’re like me, much of what you know about both the geography and culture fine country was gleaned from the likes of Stompin’ Tom Connors, The Rankin Family, Great Big Sea, Rita MacNeil, Rawlins Cross, Sloan, and Joel Plaskett. You’ll hear all of them and more. In fact, here’s my playlist so you can get a head start on the music:
This engagement will have you longing for home, even if you aren’t from out East.
Come hungry, come with an open heart, prepared to celebrate the talents and gifts of your fellow Royal LePagers from the East Coast to the West. We’re gonna’ have a time!

Frequently asked questions
Eventbrite forced me to select 11:30 pm as the end time for some stupid reason. We are going hard until at least midnight, don't you worry.
You have no idea. We have been working hard with the venue to make sure there will be all kinds of East Coast food. Lots of seafood, poutine, donairs, and more. We will even have gluten-free and dairy-free options, because we care. Message us if there's any other way we could accommodate you.
We will be taking over the rooftop of the CRAFT Beer Market in downtown Calgary, which is about a 6 minute walk from the BMO Centre, 20 minutes from Delta Calgary Downtown (10 blocks), and 22 from Hilton Garden Inn (9 blocks).
Of course.
Casual is best. We don't discriminate, though. Maybe plaid, maybe overalls, maybe a sou'wester, maybe a sailer boy shirt. It's totally up to you. Just be prepared for a time!
Yup. Jerry is, too, and the party won't start without him!
Definitely. We didn't want to compete with that event, which is why this one doesn't start until 8:00 (the hockey game is scheduled to end at 7:30).
Only if it's for Shelter. Otherwise, we stick to real estate.
Only if they A-are an adult (in Alberta that's 18) and B-are prepared to party hard. Jerry's wife will be there, and he wouldn't want to be seen as a hypocrite, so please bring spouses, loved ones, flings, etc.
No. Even though most people use it in a friendly manner, it has a dark history, so we won't be using that term. So, let's stick with "Newfoundlanders."
It's very important to pronounce it properly. NEW-fun-LAND. Not new-FOUND-land. Oh, and you can shorten it in writing as NL, just remember that the L stands for Labrador, as the full name of the province is Newfoundland and Labrador.
Nope. You don't have to drink-I don't, and there are a lot of others who don't, and it's totally acceptable to stick with virgin drinks. I love doing water shooters, too! We will even have a virgin option of our signature drink.
Yes! Contact Jerry, Natosha, or Rebecca for the promo code. If this is your first conference or if you have been licenced for 2 years or less, you get a code!
