It's Calgary's biggest musical block party on International Avenue!

East Town Get Down is unique in the way it brings together and celebrates Calgary’s thriving independent music scene with the dynamic (and delicious!) international flavour of 17th Avenue SE.

Happening along six-blocks of International Avenue and inspired by festivals like SXSW, you’ll find performances in a fun range of intimate and unlikely venues including small ethnic bistros, a bowling alley, and beautiful Unity Park.

Of course, INTL AVE’s amazing international restaurants are a big part of the unique “flavour” of this event. Dubbed “East Town Chow Down”, festival goers can once again enjoy $5 dollar food plates at the various venues and enjoy tasty international cuisine from a variety of cultures. Pre-purchase Chow Down vouchers as an add on right here with your festival ticket, on festival day at the event tent or you can just pay cash for a food plate at any venue!

A family-friendly event where youth age 12 and under are able to enter all-ages venues free of charge when accompanied by a paid adult, mark your calendars!

Festival wristband and East Town Chow Down $5 food voucher pick up is May 25, 2024 at the Unity Park East Town Get Down event tent located at 3111-17 Ave SE beginning at 4pm. East Town Chow Down $5 food vouchers are valid event day only at the participating ETGD venues listed on voucher.
