Description: Urban oasis. Trout Lake neighborhood. Vancouver is beautiful, people are friendly, and nature’s magic is easily accessible.

Walk Leader: Beatrice Lai has lived in the Trout Lake neighborhood for 17 years. She walks around John Henry Park at least 2-3 times a day and is familiar with its history and biodiversity - including the native plants and wildlife. Over the years, she has witnessed the changing demographics and urban development, finding them very interesting, and she would like to share this beautiful spot with others.

Starting place: Trout Lake Community Centre - Upper Level (Inside or outside).

How to recognize your walk leader(s): I will bring a Jane’s Walk sign

Accessibility Info: Stairs, non-accessible curb cuts, or other barriers, Breaks offered along the way, Family-friendly, Pet-friendly

Walk will end at Commercial Street

Travel Tips: Bike and vehicle parking available at Trout Lake Community Centre. Closest sky train station is Broadway and Commercial. Bus stops along Victoria Drive and Commercial
