About this event

  • 5 hours

ERA is marking 15 years of clean technology investments that have helped innovators develop and demonstrate Alberta-based technologies that lower emissions and cut costs in the province and around the world.

ERA is a key agency that invests revenues from the Government of Alberta’s Technology Innovation and Emissions Reduction (TIER) regulation and will surpass $1 billion in total committed funds in 2024 towards projects that are estimated to deliver cumulative GHG reductions of 42 million tonnes by 2030 and 115 million tonnes by 2050. This is an important milestone and a great opportunity to recognize Alberta’s forward-thinking climate policy, environmental regulation, and innovation frameworks.

Through panel discussions, a fireside chat, keynote address and more, programming for this 15-year anniversary event will share the compelling story of ERA and its decade and a half of success. It will focus on lessons learned, outcomes, and remarkable successes featuring projects that are being commercialized and deployed in Alberta and internationally. We will also highlight Alberta’s longstanding strategies for achieving its environmental and economic goals as it continues to build momentum towards a carbon neutral future.

While a formal agenda and registration will be announced shortly, we’re busy securing participation and attendance from CEOs and executives from ERA-funded projects; industry and innovation leaders in the province; Government of Alberta representatives and other informed and influential Albertans.

Come celebrate how the Government of Alberta and ERA have supported innovative approaches to reduce emissions, lower costs, attract investment, and create jobs in Alberta.
