So, what exactly is Breathwork
Breathwork is the art of rediscovering how to breathe effectively. Yes, you heard it right. At RespiroFLOW, we're here to teach you the power of conscious breathing, enabling you to undergo a holistic transformation on the physical, mental-emotional, and spiritual levels, resulting in a profound enhancement of your quality of life.
For millennia, practitioners like yogis, Taoists, shamans, and mystics worldwide have recognized the healing potential of breathing practices such as pranayama or Respirotherapy. Today, scientific research has unequivocally substantiated the myriad benefits this practice offers, both physically and mentally.
Unlike the passive use of the respiratory system that most people engage in, wherein breathing occurs automatically and often unconsciously, achieving profound changes necessitates a deliberate and focused approach to working with the lungs.
During this session, you'll engage in a mindful, connected circular breathing exercise lasting approximately 35 minutes. Within this timeframe, you'll encounter deep liberation and a heightened expansion of consciousness and presence.
Preparation for the session:
- It's advisable to refrain from heavy meals before the session; ideally, maintain a 2-hour fasting window.
- Create a serene environment where you can fully immerse yourself, allocating around 90 minutes of uninterrupted time.
- Ensure you have essential items like a yoga mat, pillows, a blanket, a blindfold (optional), and tissues within reach.
- it is advisable to bring along a beverage such as herbal tea or water to stay hydrated. Please exercise caution if you have or have had:
- Serious heart problems
- Epileptic attacks
- High blood pressure
- Recent torso or brain surgery
- Psychosis or recent trauma
