The Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work Alumni Association invites you to attend a reception in honour of the Spring 2024 Graduates of the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, immediately preceding the convocation ceremony.

Please join us in celebrating our graduating students and their families, friends and donors who helped make this journey possible. We are also delighted to host students who are recipients of FIFSW Student Awards this past academic year.

Is there a formal program?

Yes, formal remarks and awards presentations are expected to begin at 3:30pm sharp and are anticipated to be 30 minutes in length. The rest of the pre-ceremony reception is an opportunity for you to mingle and celebrate with your family, friends and fellow graduates.

Are these the tickets for the convocation ceremony?

No, this is the registration page for the celebratory reception hosted by the FIFSW Alumni Association in honour of our newest graduates. For all other ceremony information, please visit the Office of Convocation website: https://governingcouncil.utoronto.ca/graduation-and-convocation.

Can I bring guests to the reception?

Graduating students are welcome to invite guests to the reception. Please indicate the total number in your party when submitting your RSVP. FIFSW students who are not yet graduating, but have been invited as FIFSW Student Award recipients may only reserve 1 ticket.

Is there an opportunity for photos?

Yes, we will have a photo area with a photographer where guests are welcome to take photos.

When is the convocation ceremony taking place?

For student graduating from the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work this spring, the convocation ceremony is taking place on Thursday, June 6th 2024 from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm, immediately following your Convocation Reception.

Will I have enough time to pick up my convocation ceremony regalia?

You must arrive no later than 90 minutes before your ceremony to collect your regalia, and proceed directly to the Marshalling Rooms where you will be assembled for the ceremony. The pick-up location is to be announced. We encourage all graduates to proceed promptly to the pick-up location.

Location and accessibility?

Please consider the location and times of both the reception (taking place at 1 Spadina Cres. from 3pm to 5pm) and the convocation ceremony (at Convocation Hall on King's College Circle from 6:30pm to 8pm) when planning your transportation and arrival.
