Let's chat more about our local waters, the threats they face, and what we can do about it!

Water Sampling Demonstration


We will learn about water monitoring and how to take water samples. You'll get a chance to take some yourself!

What is a Watermark


We'll learn what a watermark is, why its important, and write our own.

Snack Break


Time to take a short break and enjoy some snacks!

Shoreline Clean-up


Time to clean up the shoreline and the water ways. We well characterize the litter as we go and get a final weight at the end.

About this event

    Join us for a series of clean-up events hosted as part of the Toronto Inner Harbour Floatables Strategy. This event series is part of the floatable waste collaborative action in Lake Ontario and Toronto's Inner Harbour initiative. We will clean up our water and shoreline, improve our overall water literacy and work towards creating swimmable, drinkable, fishable water in Toronto!

    These events will run rain or shine, so make sure to dress appropriately for the weather! We will be providing some snacks but ask you to please bring your own reusable water bottle.
