About this event

For children aged 12-18 to get together to discuss video games and strategies, all while tackling the topic of emotional regulation. There will be large group activities, as well as small group activities based on age. We will look at what emotions are, how to recognize different emotions, and some coping strategies to use!

Stay tuned for a four-week group being offered through our Autism Services department! We will dive deeper into emotional regulation focusing on: comfortable and uncomfortable emotions, anxiety and anger, jealousy and gratitude, and different coping strategies we can use!

This group has a maximum of 8 participants.

Since this workshop is funded by the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) as a Foundational Family Service, examples provided during the workshop will tend to focus on children with a diagnosis of autism.

Requirements: For children aged 12-18 years old with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Tech Requirements: Must have the ability to connect to Zoom (Computer or handheld devices, such as a tablet or a cellphone).
