We welcome all Junior School Students, levels Primary to Prima, to audition to compete on the world stage this coming season. Participation provides students not only the opportunity to showcase their technical and artistic ability, but is a beneficial part of their dance development and confidence building.
Auditions are required for all students wishing to be considered for one or more of the select competitions in the categories of: Solo(s), Variation(s), Duos, Trios, Groups, and Masterclasses.
Students selected by the artistic staff to participate in competition will have the opportunity to represent Goh Ballet locally, nationally, and internationally. Please see a list of possible competitions below:
- Ballet Beyond Borders (Havana, Cuba)
- Festival Du Ballet (Burnaby, BC)
- Youth America Grand Prix (Toronto, Ontario)
- Surrey Festival of Dance (Surrey, BC)
- Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition ( New York)
Eligibility
All Junior School students Pre-Primary to Prima.
SELECT THE AUDITION FOR YOUR CURRENT DANCER'S LEVEL (annual 2023-24).
Students in Pre-Primary, Primary, A1, A2 (levels of 2023-24) : 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
What students should wear:
Girls
· Goh Ballet Uniform Leotard or Solid Colour Leotard
· Short Skirt (if desired)
· Tights
· Canvas Split Sole Ballet Slippers
· Pointe Shoes (if applicable)
Boys
· Goh Ballet Uniform
· Tights and Boys Cap-Sleeved or Tank Leotard
· White Mid-Calf Socks
· White Canvas Split-Sole Ballet Slippers
Additional Notes:
· Arrival Time should be 30 minutes prior to the start of the audition (Front Door)
· Pick-Up Time should be 10 to 15 minutes after the end of the audition (Side Door)
· Results will be provided by Friday, May 24th and a non-refundable deposit to secure your place in the competition(s) will be required
· Private Coaching may begin as early as summer 2024
