About this event
On October 15, Grey County and partners Neighbourwoods North will be hosting a community tree planting event at the Grey County Administration Building from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This event kicks off plans to naturalize the Grey County property and supports the goals of Going Green in Grey: Climate Change Action Plan 2022-2050. The event will open with an Indigenous teaching on the importance of stewardship and connection with the land, our local environment, and each other. Light refreshments will be available for all who attend so pre-registration is encouraged.
On the day, approximately 20 trees will be planted on the Grey County property. The community is invited to volunteer at the event, or to attend to celebrate the plan and learn more about Grey County's response to climate action, right relationship with the land, and local stewardship opportunities.
