About this event

  • 2 hours

When eligibility is no longer enough, innovation becomes crucial when applying for competitive grant funding.

Join us for an interactive panel where local multidisciplinary creatives will speak and present on grant writing best practices, share real-life case studies and offer strategies for handling rejection. The panel will conclude with an audience participation segment, during which a select number of attendees can briefly share their proposed projects. Then, together, we will brainstorm suitable grants and actionable next steps.

Email create@theframework.ca to submit by June 12 a short description of your project for live feedback.

Curated by Imani Dominique and inspired by the aesthetics of local record stores, “The Gift Shop” is an interactive and immersive art gallery. Located at ByWard Market from June 13 - July 18, this pop-up shop will sell prints from local QTBIPOC artists and create an environment that is conducive to art exploration and discovery. Through engaging professional development workshops and creative activations hosted in the space, this exhibit also provides emerging and mid-career artists with an opportunity to incubate their businesses and develop their entrepreneurial skills.
