Halifax loves live music and HJF is pleased to be returning to the scenic Halifax Waterfront.
Montreal-based indie rock band, Half Moon Run are known for their heavy use of percussion and group harmonies. Their album A Blemish in the Great Light has recently been nominated for Adult Alternative of the Year at the 2020 Juno’s. With classical training and omnivorous influences, they’ve built their name on cerebral, acrobatic arrangements and harmonies that lilt prettily till they turn feral. Joining Half Moon Run on Sat, July 11 will be very special guest, Andy Shauf.
Few artists are storytellers as deft and disarmingly observational as Andy Shauf. The Toronto-based, Saskatchewan-raised musician's songs unfold like short fiction: they're densely layered with colorful characters and a rich emotional depth.
