Join the Creative Wellness Club for a fun-filled creative evening while ceramic artist Lili Yas Tayefi invites participants of any background to get messy, reconnect with a sense of play, and create a ceramic object by hand. Guided to follow their intuition and imagination while they build 1-2 small pieces of their own.

About your Guide
Lili Yas Tayefi is an Iranian-Canadian interdisciplinary artist, architectural designer, and educator specializing in digital fabrication with extensive experience in handcraft and a background in biodegradable material science. Lili’s practice, LYT Studio, honours feel first’and precision-led philosophies, her works range from 3D printed and hand built innovative ceramic sculptures to painting, printmaking and filmmaking. Embedded with duality, her works invite an exploration of identity, social justice and the reclamation of culture.
A proponent for education and research, Lili is also an instructor at AU Arts and U of C SAPL, where she designed the inaugural curriculum in clay 3D printing, now offered annually.

Canopy Studios is an art and wellness hub located in a heritage home at 1723 9th St SW, Calgary, in the Lower Mount Royal neighborhood. We aim to enhance, nurture, and improve individual and collective mental health and overall well-being through art as a wellness tool. Canopy Studios welcomes the art and wellness community to nurture their personal creativity and to share and explore creative offerings (classes, workshops, events).
