Hop on the bus and join your fellow heritage enthusiasts as we leave to explore Prince Edward County. Our visit will include a countryside drive, a County museum visit, a stop at a winery or cider farm. The lunch stop will be in the charming small town of Picton, where you can also explore the local stores.

How much does it cost?

Payment must be made at time of reservation. Information about the final day tour stops and departure details will be shared via email to those who reserve by May 22nd. $85 per person or $75 per person for 2 or more tickets (save $20!)

Where does the bus depart from?

The bus will depart from the Holy Trinity Church at 140 Brooke St.,Thornhill.

What time do we need to meet the bus in the morning?

Please arrive on or before 7:45 am so we can promptly leave at 8am.

What is the reservation deadline?

All reservations and payment must be made on or before May 22nd 2024.

Can I book after May 22nd?

No, reservations will close at 5pm on May 22nd.

If I did not reserve online can I pay on the day of the tour?

No, all reservations must be made and paid on or before May 22nd at 11:59pm.

Who can take the tour?

The tour is available to the public, all ages. There are steep steps to board and exit the bus and all attendees must disembark at all stops. If you do not feel comfortable taking the stairs on and off the bus and are not able to walk around the destination points we advise not to attend the tour.

What if there are not enough people to fill the bus?

The tour will be cancelled if we fail to secure the minimum number of attendees to pay for the bus. All attendees will be notified if the tour is cancelled by May 27th.

Will I receive a refund if the tour is cancelled?

Yes, the Thornhill Historical Society will fully refund you for the tickets purchased if the tour is cancelled. Please make sure you add your email and phone number in the registration form so we can get in touch with you.

If I’m having trouble walking or use a wheelchair would I be able to attend the tour?

Do note that there are steep steps to board and exit the bus and all attendees must disembark at all stops. If you do not feel comfortable taking the stairs on and off the bus and are not able to walk around the destination points on your own we advise not to attend the tour. The stairs do have h

Are there bathrooms available on the tour bus?

Yes there is one bathroom on the bus.

What if it rains?

The tour will continue as planned come rain or shine so please dress accordingly.

What should I bring with me on the bus tour?

A sense of curiosity, a few questions and a willingness to learn something you might not have known before. Of course, dress for the weather; bring a hat, water battle, umbrella, solid walking shoes and anything else you need to be comfortable on the walk.
