Frequently asked questions

My child is dancing in both shows. Do I need tickets for both shows?

No. You only need tickets for the show(s) you plan to watch in the audience.

Do my other children need tickets?

Yes. Everyone 2 years of age and older requires a ticket. Children under 2 yrs must sit on an adult's lap. This is in accordance to fire code standards and safety.

Can we take pictures?

Not in the theatre. Flash photography can be dangerously distracting for the performers while on stage.

Will there be a photographer available?

Yes! We will have our FREE instant digital photos again this year.

Is the show video recorded?

Yes! The show is professionally recorded and the download will be available to purchase a week or so after the show on our website.

Will you sell flowers at the show?

Yes! Flowers and merchandise will be available for purchase at the show.

Where do we park?

Cawthra Park SS has a big lot adjacent to the front of the school. Parking is FREE. An additional parking lot is available off Atwater Ave.

How long are the shows?

The show is approximately 2 hours including a 15 minute intermission.

Can I pick up my child once they are finished performing?

We encourage you to stay for the entire show! However, you can pick up your dancer at intermission if needed.

Does my child dance in both shows?

Please refer to the document "DANCE RECITAL: DRESS REHEARSAL and SHOW TIMES BY CHILD LAST NAME" under the recital portal on our website.

When do I pick up my child?

You can pick up your child in the cafeteria area where they were signed-in. They must be signed out.

Where do I drop off my child?

At the cafeteria doors. Entrance to the right of the main doors and down the grass hill. Sign in with a staff member and make sure you receive a confirmation text that they are checked in.

When is the recital?

Sunday June 9th. This show is at 1pm. The other show is at 6 pm.

When is the dress rehearsal?

Sat June 8th at Cawthra Park. Please ensure your child attends during their scheduled dress rehearsal time. Read "DANCE RECITAL: DRESS REHEARSAL and SHOW TIMES BY CHILD LAST NAME" on our website in the Recital 2024 portal.

If I'm not watching one of the show, do I need to stay at the venue once I drop off my child?

No. As long as you sign them in with our staff members and receive a confirmation text you are good to go and come back.

As dance and theatre instructors we have over 20 years experience helping kids achieve their creative goals. We’ve been professional dancers, professional actors, directors, choreographers and other very exciting things that we were wildly talented at!

Then we became parents. And that gig? Let’s just say we’re still working on it!

Children (ours and yours) are the reason why we craved something more.

Something that would allow children to train at a facility that would nurture our kids. They would respect our clients and families the way we do at home everyday.

We want a school where children’s whole development and needs are met.

Thus we decided to open our ideal school: The School – Creative Arts Education.

Welcome to our school, we promise to inspire, nurture and develop your child’s creativity and artistic skills. We’ll provide free wifi, really good coffee and a place to have grown up conversation with other families while we’re at it!
