Intersection de l'IA et de la Quantique/ Intersection of AI and Quantum

Dans cette troisième édition de notre conférence À l'intersection de la Quantique et de l'IA, Québec Quantique et Mila visent à explorer l'intersection entre l'intelligence artificielle et les sciences et technologies quantiques, de créer une plateforme pour découvrir les opportunités, les défis et renforcer les liens entre les différents acteurs des deux écosystèmes.

Cette année, nous avons voulu nous concentrer sur des sujets spécifiques et parler, plus concrètement, des liens entre les deux écosystèmes. Alors que l'année dernière était consacrée aux possibilités, cette année, l'objectif est de créer des projets à travers des discussions.

Le matin, nous présenterons l'état général de la science en intelligence artificielle et en quantique et ce sera suivi par deux experts qui parleront de la découverte de matériaux, et des réseaux tensoriels.

L'après-midi, vous aurez la possibilité de participer à des discussions de groupe et à des ateliers autour de l'un de ces deux sujets, au choix :

Découverte de matériaux - Le rôle et les possibilités des technologies quantique et de l'IA.

Réseaux tensoriels - Comment le quantique peut participer à la recherche.

INFORMATIONS SUR LES GROUPES DE TRAVAIL

Les groupes de travail seront organisés de la manière suivante :

• Chaque participant choisira un groupe de travail qu'il souhaite rejoindre ;
• Bien que nous recommandions vivement une participation active, les participants peuvent se contenter d'écouter ou de présenter activement leurs projets et leurs questions au cours des groupes de travail ;
• Ce workshop suivra un cadre Mystères/Découvertes où les participants se présenteront eux-mêmes, leur recherche générale, leurs questions sur le sujet du groupe de travail, et/ou leurs domaines de collaboration. Chaque participant disposera de deux minutes pour présenter son travail.
• Ensuite, les groupes de travail seront animés sous la forme d'une discussion afin de trouver des domaines d'intérêt et de discuter des opportunités scientifiques qui se présentent.
• Les résultats et les discussions des groupes de travail seront idéalement examinés lors d'une discussion récapitulative à la fin de la journée.

In this third edition of this conference, Quebec Quantique and Mila aim to explore the intersection between Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Science and Technology, create a platform to discover opportunities, and challenges, and strengthen the connections between the different players of the two ecosystems.

This year, we wanted to focus on specific subjects and talk, more concretely, about the links between both ecosystems. As last year was about the possibilities, this year would aim to create projects through discussions.

In the morning, we will present the general state of the art in artificial intelligence and quantum science, followed by two experts talking about materials discovery and tensor networks.

In the afternoon, you will have the chance to participate in Group Discussions and workshops around one of those two topics:

• Material Discovery - The role and possibilities of Quantum and AI
• Tensor Networks - How Quantum can participate in the research

INFORMATION ON THE WORKING GROUPS

The Working groups would be organized in the following way :

• Every participant will select a working group they wish to join;
• While we highly recommend active participation, participants can participate to listen in or actively present their projects and questions during the working groups;
• This working group will follow a Mysteries/Discoveries framework where participants will present themselves, their general research, their questions about the working group's subject, and/or their areas of collaboration. Each participant will have an initial 2 minutes to present their work.
• After, the working groups will be moderated in the form of a discussion to find areas of interest and discuss the scientific opportunities that arise.
• The working groups’ results and discussions will ideally be explored in a summary discussion at the end of the day.
