About this event

Have you been curious to incorporate BDSM and power exchange into your play, but have no idea where to start?

Maybe you’ve been wanting to share certain desires with your partner but aren’t sure how to get the conversation going, let alone explain the specifics of what you’d like.

This workshop for couples (or trusted pairs/friends) will walk you through:

  • The dynamics of a healthy power exchange
  • Understanding your unique psychology as a dominant or submissive
  • How to use your energy, posture, language and touch to embody the dynamics of your power exchange (all without having to purchase a bunch of expensive toys)
  • How to work with different flavours of power exchange to tailor your play to your unique desires

This workshop skims the foundations of Monica’s 2-day power exchange workshop intensive in April. For those participants wishing to continue on to the 2-day intensive, you receive a $50 off your registration

Power exchange can be an exciting way to add more polarity into your relationship and express yourself in ways that your day-world persona won’t allow. It invites a deeper layer of trust and communication, and facilitates intimacy through the profound vulnerability of stepping into these roles.

Healthy dominance inspires trust and surrender, allowing the submissive journey deep within themselves. When done intentionally, it can be a space to explore our sensory and psychological edges, helping us move beyond our limitations and enter ecstatic realms.

In this 2h virtual workshop, couples (or pairs) will have the opportunity to hone in on their desires, articulate them with clarity, and begin practicing power exchange with one another through a series of simple exercises that can be done in the comfort of your own room.

* Participants will be required to show up in couples (or pairs) in the same physical location so that you can do the hands-on practices with one another.

Meet your mentor, Monica

Monica is a Sacred Sexuality and Embodiment Coach, and certified Somatic Sex Educator, based in Toronto, Ontario. In addition to coaching individuals and couples for nearly a decade, she has spent much of her adult life avidly exploring BDSM through personal play, and having facilitated professional sessions as a dominatrix for a number of years. She has studied with prominent teachers in the field of kink, including Cleo Dubois, Eve Minax and Om Rupani.

Through her experience, having played on both ends of the power dynamic, she brings a refined understanding of the needs, desires and archetypes that inform the ways we choose to play. She incorporates a wealth of knowledge into her teachings that draw on embodiment, attachment theory, shadow work, bioenergetics and more.

Monica is passionate about helping couples get started on their kink journey by demystifying misconceptions, and explaining things in a way that is clear, tangible and natural.

Frequently asked questions

I'm currently single. Can I still attend?

Yes, but you must bring a friend or someone to practice the exercises with. The workshop will invite participants to begin exploring power exchange through interactive practices, and it will be necessary to have another person in the space with you.

I don't know if I'm a Dom or a sub. Can I still attend?

Yes! In fact, you'll be switching roles with your partner throughout the workshop so you can get a feel for each side. You don't need to know your preferences yet. You'll gain more clarity as you play.

We don't have any toys at home. Can we still participate?

Yes! You won't need any fancy toys for this workshop. We may touch on how to create makeshift toys as you go, but you won't need to buy anything for this workshop
