About this event

  • 2 hours 30 minutes

Whether you are a beginner to painting or have been painting for years, Grant will provide individualized instruction to help you to consider and enhance the use of light and shadow within your landscape paintings. He will also introduce a few basic drawing techniques that can help to strengthen any structures or figures used within your landscape.

Grant Lounsbury is a professional oil painter and traditional animator based out of Nova Scotia. As a graduate of Sheridan College, Grand holds a Bachelor of Arts in traditional animation and has won numerous awards for his painting en plein air. He currently works in NS at St. Francis Xavier University, teaching drawing and painting. This work has shaped Grant's belief that "art can be used as an effective means to express what it means to be human".

Basic supplies will be provided. If you have your own supplies you like to work with, please feel free to bring them.
