About this event

Japanese moxibustion (Okyu) includes different techniques, all focused on achieving a quick and pleasant recovery of health. Moxibustion is known in the West as a technique of Chinese medicine but it should be noted that under the Japanese approach, moxa techniques have reached a unique therapeutic refinement level. This makes them a very attractive therapy for anyone wishing to optimize their treatment strategies and resources in any area.

We propose 3 seminars during this week long event, two 2-days and one 5-days workshop (you can participate to one, two or all three of them), with Felipe Caudet, an internationally renowned teacher from Spain. This is a unique chance to study with Felipe Caudet here in North America.

Open to everyone - places are limited.

INTRODUCTION TO JAPANESE MOXIBUSTION

June 1 & 2, 2024 (2 days / $ 495 + tx + fees)

Teacher: Felip Caudet. Physical therapist and L.Ac. Specialist in Japanese Moxibustion and Posture

Introduction seminar is a way of having a broad view about this thrilling field. The techniques of okyu can be graduated from very soft (subtle techniques) to very strong (physical and structure techniques). On the subtle sense, the heat of the okyu is understood under an energy concept (Qi supplementation or dispersion) and not thermal. One good example is the chinetsukyu (indirect technique) a technique developed to work on the surface level, directly to the Wei Qi.

KINSEIKYU - POSTURAL BALANCE WITH MOXIBUSTION

June 3 to 7, 2024 (5 days / $ 795 + tx + fees)

Teacher: Felip Caudet. Physical therapist and L.Ac. Specialist in Japanese Moxibustion and Posture

Every human being in this world has a unique posture that defines him as someone special. Although it is a common aspect of everyone, we know very little about our own posture. Usually, people suffer from posture and think that posture is the way of sitting or the way of walking, the postural habits, or consequences of those but that is not the posture.

THE STYLE OF MOXIBUSTION OF FUKAYA

Level 2 (open to all). The Mind of the Moxibustor.

June 8 & 9, 2024 (2 days / $ 495 + tx + fees)

Teacher: Felip Caudet. Physical therapist and L.Ac. Specialist in Japanese Moxibustion and Posture

This second seminar is to deepen all the aspects that make up the way of understanding and practicing moxibustion by master Isaburo Fukaya. Deeply rooted in traditional practices and methods, it revises and optimizes this same classical understanding to provide an increase in effectiveness and efficiency. Each of the style rules will be reviewed in depth to understand the details that make the Fukaya style a reference in the current understanding of moxibustion. The analysis of the treatments carried out and recorded by the master will allow the practitioner to create 'the mind of the moxibustor'.
