About this event

  • 1 hour

Israeli-born, award-winning jazz singer Ori Dagan entertains us with an hour of popular songs that have Jewish/Italian connections. You will be delighted with his renditions of such classics as That’s Amore and Mambo Italiano (both written by Jewish songwriters), as well as favourites from Broadway shows with surprising Italian/Jewish connections. And best of all – he does it with a jazz twist for a lot more musical fun!

With recent JUNO nominee Mark Eisenman on piano. www.jazzpiano.ca

Ori Dagan has attracted a dedicated and growing audience, both in his hometown of Toronto and internationally. He brings a wry and agile sense of swing to everything he does, whether interpreting a standard, spinning a pop tune on its head or introducing his own original music and lyrics. Dagan's rich bass-baritone is unmistakable; his passion for jazz is contagious. During the pandemic, his weekly live-streamed concert "Jazz It Up" garnered over one million views collectively.
