Following our Sip and Shop event, we invite you to join us for a serene meditation and sound bath session. This will be followed by a guided reflection designed to help you identify and define your personal values, express your uniqueness, craft a vision for your life driven by your purpose, and set goals that support you in living up to your potential.

Let's share this space and celebrate in the spirit of Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and honors the resilience and contributions of Black Americans. By coming together in community, we not only honor the significance of this date but also create a supportive environment where we can reflect, rejuvenate, and envision a future driven by our individual and collective potential. This is a time to connect deeply with ourselves and each other, recognizing the importance of unity and empowerment within the Black community.

About your Intructors:


Ki Charles

Ki is an African American, Mexican, Indigenous Yogi, who is expanding the inclusivity of yoga spaces for BIPOC, Queer people. They take inspiration from their ancestral roots to welcome all to practice with them through pairing culturally diverse musical flows with their own learnings. They hope to cultivate the vision of unyielding acceptance, faith, and love for one another so that the yoga practice can exist for everybody.

Nkechi Njaka

Nkechi Deanna Njaka (she/her) is a practiced-based creative researcher, a neuroscientist, choreography artist, and mindfulness meditation guide. She is the founder of The Compass, NDN lifestyle studio and co-founder of the sleep app DreamWell. Her work intersects wellness, science, art and social practice. Through her work, research, practice and study, she discovered that mindfulness and creativity are crucial for sustaining individual and global wellbeing. She is a co-host of the Dating White Podcast and 1/2 of the music and mindfulness project RESONANCE.

Shirley Johnson

Shirley Johnson, LMFT is a licensed psychotherapist, sound healer, herbalist, yoga teacher, aspiring writer and retreat leader based in Oakland, CA. She brings over 15 years of studying various healing technologies to her work and way of living. Passionate about self care and self intimacy as a way of healing and creating a vibrant and healthy life, Shirley leads a number of workshops supporting people to live their most authentic life and embrace their whole selves through meditation, movement, and self inquiry.
