Event Details

Two of the best sources of Probiotic for your body are available from kombucha and kefir beverages. In this workshop, you will learn how to care for your culture (SCOBY - mother and grains), how to do a secondary fermentation, flavour your beverage, and why probiotics are good for your overall health.

You will gain a thorough understanding regarding these healthy beverages.

Herbal mama offers herbal infusion methods and benefits as an extra special addition to second ferment flavours for optimal health enhancement of plant nutrients.

The instructors will have healthy kombucha mothers and water kefir grains available to purchase as well as other tools to help you brew the best beverages. You can purchase one of the cultures for 10$ (half priced) and the second for 20$.

Earth's General Store

Earth's General Store was started in 1991 to bring quality information and products to help people reduce their impact on the environment and society.

In 2010 we moved and expanded to offer organic food since this is one of the major ways that we affect the environment. We opened at this new location on February 6th, 2010.

In July 2014 we opened our second location downtown (10150 - 104th Street) where we offer certified organic food to the downtown community. We also operate the 'Organic Cafe' as part of the store. The cafe is all plant-based (vegan food with some vegetarian options now and again)
