Kings Landing Children's Day Camps - August 5-9

Children attending Kings Landing's day camps will get a taste of life on a farm in the 19th century! They can help look after gardens, attend school, play games, and enjoy more traditional fun. Each day will wrap up with a horse and wagon ride to return to modern life.

Camps run from 10 am to 4:15 pm on Monday to Friday from July 8 to August 23. Registration on Eventbrite is divided by weeks - please ensure that you have selected the correct week before registering! You are currently on the event listing for: August 5-9, 2024. View other weeks here.

Children ages 5 to 12 may attend 1-5 days of camp per week and can return for multiple weeks. Drop off is at 10 am and pick up is at 4:15 pm at Kings Landing’s Welcome Centre. Day camps require a minimum of 3 children to run with a maximum of 16 participants.

Cost: $80 per day ($84.75 with Eventbrite fees) or $375 per week ($394.51 with Eventbrite fees). This includes costume rental, snacks, and lunch in the Village.

Attire: Kings Landing will provide costumes for children attending camp, but children must come with their own closed-toe shoes or boots, preferably black or brown. They will really look the part! Sizing details are not required upon registration for campers as a range of costumes will be available to try on.

Schedule: Each day of camp starts with drop-off at the Welcome Centre by 10 am and no earlier than 9:45 am. Once all children have arrived, the group will head to the Learning Centre to change into their costumes. There are modern washroom facilities inside for changing. All personal items will stay at the Learning Centre, which is kept locked for the day.

Once all children are dressed in their 19th century clothing, they will head into the Village for their daily schedules. This includes a lunch at a select home. After a snack at the Long House, children will take a horse and wagon ride back to the Learning Centre where they will change back into their modern clothes and back to the Welcome Centre for pick-up at 4:15 pm.

Registration

All attendees must register on Eventbrite no later than Wednesday of the week prior to when the camp is scheduled to begin. This will allow adequate time for preparations in the Village.

1. Check the event listing to make sure that you are on the correct week.
2. If you are attending for all five days, please select just the one Full Week (5 days) ~ Semaine complète (5 jours) ticket. This ticket rate gives $25 off.
3. If you are attending for a day, please select the corresponding day ticket (ie. Monday (One Day) ~ Lundi (un jour) ). You will only be permitted to use the ticket for that day.
4. You are welcome to add more day tickets if you wish to attend more days in the week. Please select the corresponding tickets.
5. After checking the total, please proceed with filling out the information form and inputting payment.

Children attending day camps in more than one week will need separate registration orders for each week attending.
