About this event

Tours for the 2024 season are starting June 5th and will be offered Wednesday - Friday at 2:00 pm & Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00 am until August 31, 2024.

Join us for a tour of Labatt Memorial Park, the world’s oldest baseball grounds, dating back to 1877.

This is a unique opportunity to learn more about the park, starting with the early days of the London Tecumseh and how it came to be known as Labatt Park. Hear stories from the golden age of baseball and the celebrated diversity, long before the colour barrier was broken in Major League Baseball. Learn about the London Majors, London Tigers, and all the other teams that have called Labatt Park home over the years.

Don’t forget to bring a ball and glove to play catch on the same field that baseball legends have played on including Ty Cobb, Fergie Jenkins, Deion Sanders and Jeff Bagwell.

** Field access is not guaranteed, and is subject to weather and availability **

The tour concludes inside the original 1937 Roy MacKay Clubhouse where you will see artifacts and displays from the mid-20th century.

There is something for everybody to learn on the tours, not just fans of baseball! Guests will learn all about the role that the park has played not only in the City of London but in the game of baseball as a whole.

Tours must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. Walk-ups will not be accepted at this time.

If you are interested in booking a group tour or purchasing a Southwestern Ontario Baseball Heritage Pass, please email us at labattinfo@londonheritage.ca

The tour is mostly outdoors, with the end of the tour inside the clubhouse.

Any additional questions/special requests can be sent to labattinfo@londonheritage.ca

** Labatt Park is completely accessible however the on-field access requires travel on dirt and gravel. For those with accessibility concerns, please contact us and let your tour guide know upon arrival. **
