This Lumen/Phytogram workshop requires no previous knowledge or photography equipment!! This cameraless photography technique uses black and white resin coated paper (used for printing in the darkroom). The Lumen process only requires objects placed onto the paper to then expose using sunlight or a bright lamp. Where Phytograpms will include soaking your organic materials in a solution of water, vitamin c powder, and washing soda before placing it onto the paper. After the lumen or phytogram is exposed for an appropriate amount of time it will then be fixed.

What if it rains?

We’ll email to confirm the location closer to the date. If its too overcast or it rains then we’ll change the location to 318 McDermot St.

Do I need to bring anything?

No, but you are more than welcome to bring any transparent objects, leaves, flowers, herbs, lace, or negatives to use for your exposures. Also you could bring a blanket or chair, sunglasses, hat…etc dress for the weather.
