The Hospice will present a Lunch and Learn with Deirdre Pike on Tuesday, June 4. Deirdre will speak to us about Creating 2SLGBTQI+ Positive Space, particularly in health care and end-of-life care. Deirdre is the Principal Facilitator at Queer Positive Power and has been leading these training discussions for nearly two decades across a broad range of sectors, including primary health care, long-term care, palliative care, justice (police, judges and lawyers), education, and more. Deirdre is a board member of the Pallium, a national, non-profit organization focused on building professional and community capacity to help improve the quality and accessibility of palliative care in Canada.
