Maestro Impro Course
June 3rd - 24th
Mondays from 6PM - 9PM
Maestro Impro, invented by Keith Johnstone, is played in dozens of languages on six continents. This workshop will give you an overview of the techniques and theories that make it so much fun to play. Topics include playing with good nature, how to love losing, variety, mischief, misbehaviour, the power of non-verbal, popular Maestro games, narrative scene structure, directing and being directed, honouring the audience, and finding truthfulness.
Led by Jeff Gladstone & Rina Shimomura who direct Tightrope's Maestro Ensemble. Jeff has been performing and directing Maestro Impro since its inception at Loose Moose Theatre in 1996, and is one of a few on the list of recognized instructors on the International Theatresports Institute website.
