Malanka 2026 - Ukrainian New Years Celebration

Experience Malanka, a Ukrainian New Year's Celebration, hosted by Troyanda Ukrainian Dance Club of Lethbridge on Saturday January 17th, 2026 in the Grand Ballroom of the Sandman Signature Lodge Hotel!

This event is a fundraiser in support of Ukrainian dance and culture in Lethbridge.

Enjoy a dance performance by Troyanda, indulge in a traditional Ukrainian dinner prepared by Prime Catering, and dance the evening away to Ukrainian band, Absolute of Calgary. Other activities include a silent auction, 50/50 cash draw, exclusive Troyanda shotglasses, Vinok/Poyas (Heads and Tails) for children and adults. Stay as long as you like!

The meal will showcase Ukrainian foods with our meal including perogies sponsored by Baba Kay's Perogies from Claresholm AB, and Stawnichy's cabbage rolls from Mundare, AB.

Tickets are on sale until January 16th, 2026 or while supplies last. Please help support Ukrainian culture in Lethbridge!

Event Schedule (times subject to change):

• 4:30pm: Doors Open, 50/50 tickets and shot glasses on sale
• 5:15pm: Dance performance by Troyanda Ukrainian Dance Club
• 6:30-7:45pm: Dinner
• 7:45pm: Heads and Tails, Children's Games
• 8:15pm: Live Music by Absolute
• 9:30pm: Kolomeyka
• 10:00pm: Silent Auction Closes
• 10:30pm: Midnight lunch
• 12:00am: Zabava Ends
