Join us at the Marsh Street Centre on Friday, May 31 from 8:30am-10:30am for our next professional development workshop and breakfast. Local marketing experts will explore a range of strategies -- from tried and true proven winners, to emerging digital trends -- to help you build your brand, showcase your business, and reach a wider audience.

The morning will include four speakers, Paula Hope from Booked Solid, Kirsty Stevenson from Yeslove, Emma Wright from Seasonal Properties/ Landreth Real Estate, and Sarah McNulty from The Cheese Gallery, followed by audience Q & A, a panel discussion and the chance to connect with fellow local entrepreneurs and business leaders. And, of course, a delicious breakfast!

Presented with support from the Town of the Blue Mountains Business Association Funding Program.

Paula Hope

CEO, Booked Solid/Rainmaker Institute

Paula is a world-class expert and thought leader in relationship-based referral marketing where “relationships are everything”. An Amazon #1 best-selling author, she is a traditionally published writer of two intriguing books on creating referrals. Certified in both coaching and adult education, and with a Master of Arts (MA) degree, Paula has spent the past 15 years helping motivated business professionals become remarkable rainmakers and live the lifestyle of their dreams.

Paula will be donating both of her books on referral marketing to all attendees of the workshop. Stop the Saboteurs: Conquer Negative Thoughts that Hurt Your Revenue and Your Brand, Paula’s first book, explores the myths and fears that erode the confidence of many networkers. Her second book, Your Personal Marketing Playbook, co-authored with content marketing guru, Susan Crossman, is about the art of creating social capital on and offline.

Kirsty Stevenson

Founder, Yeslove

Kirsty Stevenson, a lifelong entrepreneur, pioneered Canada's first landscape lighting company while in university. From this venture to her latest endeavour, she remains a dynamic force in the small business community.

Over the past decade, Kirsty has conducted workshops and seminars province-wide, empowering small businesses in areas such as solopreneurship and tourism marketing. Her book, The 3 Step Marketing Plan, is a recognized, practical guide for smaller organizations aspiring to elevate their marketing outcomes.

The Covid pandemic spurred a career shift – combining her extensive public speaking experience with her passion for connecting people, Kirsty transitioned into officiating weddings. She has since leveraged her business acumen and launched the trade group Canadian Wedding Officiants, emerging as a leading voice nationwide.

Emma Wright

Marketing Coordinator, Seasonal Properties/Landreth Real Estate

Emma is proud to work as the Real Estate/Marketing Coordinator for Seasonal Properties and Landreth Real Estate. Her journey to this role has been unexpected, exciting and fulfilling. A recent graduate from the University of Guelph with a Major in Criminal Justice and Public Policy, she never imagined she'd find herself immersed in the world of real estate and marketing. But here she is, and she couldn't be happier.

Emma works closely with Seasonal Properties and Landreth Real Estate to coordinate their seasonal rentals and to manage a total of six social media platforms between the two companies. It's been an incredible learning experience, and she's gained valuable insights into what it takes to grow a business and thrive in our community. She is excited about the future and eager to collaborate with other small businesses in the Blue Mountains, using her background in marketing to help them flourish.

Sarah McNulty

Offering insights into the evolving landscape of digital marketing while drawing from her own experiences (the highs and the lows); she delves into the significance of platforms like TikTok in the marketing mix, highlighting their potential to drive brand awareness, communication and build community.

Her journey from cheese lover to social media influencer underscores the power of authenticity and creativity in today's digital age. Sarah joins us to share her expertise in the digital landscape while unraveling the secrets behind her success as "the world's most unlikely influencer."
