About Annual General Meetings ~ AGM stands for "Annual General Meeting." It's a mandatory yearly gathering of a company's shareholders and executives. During an AGM, important company matters are discussed, such as financial reports, voting on key decisions, electing board members, and addressing any concerns shareholders may have. It's a vital event for maintaining transparency, accountability, and communication between a group and its shareholders.


About the Markham Arts Council ~ The Markham Arts Council is a registered, non-profit, charitable organization that focuses on capacity building and community engagement. It was formed to enrich the lives of Markham residents through arts and cultural programming and initiatives. The Mission of the Markham Arts Council is to serve the community by providing arts and cultural education by supporting the development of all forms of arts and culture in Markham, thereby enhancing the community’s well-being.

1.  Providing space for artists from varying disciplines and cultural backgrounds to work together on collaborative projects and initiatives.

2.  Fostering and nurturing creativity by providing emerging and established artists with opportunities to grow and learn. Providing the support, advice and encouragement artists need to pursue their passions.

3.  Building a stronger, more unified arts community that encompasses literature, experimental art, visual arts, new media, music, dance, performance and dramatic arts. Advocating for the arts in the City of Markham.
