About this event

About us:

Strategic Play Global has been training in the method of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® since 2007 . We have been named Best in Class for training in this method by Procter and Gamble (every year since 2013), and have won international awards for our excellent program.

This program was designed by Master LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methods Trainer Jacqueline Lloyd Smith, MA, MBA, (ATR), (CMC), (FRSA) with Advanced Education Curriculum Designer, Maxine King, AECEO, C, DSW, MA.

Your trainers for this program are:

Dr. Steve Ralph, Stephen J. Walling and Jacqueline Lloyd Smith

About the training:

We designed this intense program to support all LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methods facilitators who are looking to take their play-based practice to the top level. This program is based on winning frameworks that deliver results. Once facilitators have completed all programs, we award them with the LSP MASTERS level certificate and badge.

Who should attend?

Facilitators looking to upskill their foundational training.

Program Overview:

Elevate your learning and practice to the MASTERS level.

How it works

Learners attend 5 intense training workshops over 4 days.

We offer these programs as end-user workshops.

Utilizing a scaffolding approach, each workshop forms the foundation for the next, advancing in difficulty each day. We created this program as a flip classroom. This provides participants with a high-energy, hands-on workshop experience in a face-to-face classroom setting and has the added benefit of self-serve online learning. The online program includes videos and readings available before and after the intense workshop to solidify learning transfer. The online classroom will be open for a total of 30 days with online trainer support.

We have bundled the price of these programs for savings. If you have already taken one of these programs, you can consider the course a refresher or skip it as you like; however, the bundled prices are for the entire program. For individual courses, prices also include discounts. Do you have a question?

1. Strategic Storytelling with LEGO SERIOUS PLAY methods / Sep. 26

We specifically developed this course to certify facilitators who want to utilize LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methods to dig deeper into the powerful process of creating impactful stories in 3D. A well-constructed story ignites change. When working with leaders, you might be helping them to inspire followers. When working with organizations or communities, you may be helping them improve their communication strategy. When working with business owners, they might be looking for help in attaching a better story to their brand message.

2. Playsonality©: What’s Your Play DNA? / Sep 26

We developed this course for facilitators who use play-based methods and want to help others understand their playstyles. Facilitators will be certified to run workshops where they support others in assessing their Play DNA to find their unique Playsonality playstyle. We will cover why adult play is so important and how play is directly linked to the ways we learn, think, work, feel, perform, and interact with others. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how learning through play helps you remember for life! Would you run with scissors or can you play well with others? Time to discover your unique PLAYSTYLE!

3. Design Thinking with LEGO SERIOUS PLAY methods / Sep 27

In a team effort consisting of Service Designers, Industrial Engineers, Design Thinkers, Rocket Scientists, and Creative Problem-Solving experts, we created this applied program of Design Thinking with LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methods. Companies are not just designing products, services, and experiences: They are removing obstacles, overcoming excuses, and pushing the limits by providing solutions for the right problems. The solutions you develop in 3D will support your strategy development, which will enhance your brand, and branding earns users/customers. Today, design thinking has become a competitive advantage for companies to stay relevant and to survive by out-imagining their competitors!

4. Playing with Strategy with LEGO SERIOUS PLAY methods /Sep 28

In this training, facilitators will create 3D models illustrating the complex environments where entities like organizations, boards, communities, and other interconnected systems function. See how these play out in real-time as the ever-changing environment tests the foundations and core. This tool will allow you to apply creative problem-solving and use powerful visual tools to diagnose, consider new business models, uncover the real challenges, create large systems, test scenarios, and visually plan the work.

5. Creative Conflict Management with LEGO SERIOUS PLAY methods / Sep 29

This training moves participants through processes where they explore individual and team identity, learning how it pertains to identity-based conflicts. We will be taking a deep dive into workshops and processes with groups in conflict or crisis. We will cover the social value and costs of conflict, along with the impact on culture within organizations. We will apply LSP core principals to understand where the conflict lives and grows, what fuels it, and how to manage it.
