Meet Me in Little Italy Masterclass: Unique, Artisan Italian Wines

The world of Italian wines is as diverse and varying as the unique dialects of the peninsula. Stray from the usual suspects in this masterclass and journey into the valleys and mountains of the Italian countryside to taste wines made by small, hands-on producers. With a focus on responsible winemaking and grape growing, Tristan Bragaglia-Murdock will explore lesser-known – but incredibly worthwhile – wines of Italy. Tristan is looking to share his passions, stories, and wine with you.

About Tristan Bragaglia-Murdock

Tristan Bragaglia-Murdock has worn many hats throughout his 15 years in the drinks business. He’s studied fermentation professionally as a brewer, and both as a cider- and wine-maker. Receiving his WSET Diploma in 2016, he’s pushed onwards in the wine world, working as a sommelier and co-founding Jabberwocky, one of Ottawa’s most important cocktail bars.

Tristan spent 2023 exploring the European wine world. Working throughout Italy for nearly 3 months and a month in Slovakia granted him a better breadth of understanding: from philosophies and sustainability standpoints, each winemaker’s deft approach can create a wholly unique and personal expression.

When he’s not making or talking about drinks, you can find him writing about them for various publications, including his book The 315 Somerset St Cocktail Companion.
